How to barter for the best price

When it comes to a Garage Sale getting the best price on any particular item has a science like routine to it. When you attend a sale timing is everything. If it is an item that you really want than you are more than likely going to be an early bird and pay near the asking price. If you want to wait it out and see if anybody else passes up an item that you want than you’re in a much stronger bargaining position.
So step one is
1. Find your Item
2. See the asking price
3. Think about what its worth to you and if you will use it
4. Try to Justify the asking price
5. Offer the lowest reasonable price that you could imagine the seller taking for the item. The worst that happens is that they say sorry I won’t take less than x amount of dollars for that.
6. Take 10% off of that x number and make the deal happen. So if you offered $6.00 for a table and the owner said I won’t take less than $10.00 offer $9.00 and more than likely you have a deal.

Hopefully these tips come in handy during your next sale and remember “One individual’s trash is another’s treasure”
